Brian Vickers‘ road to recovery continues to look very promising.
Vickers, who was sidelined for the season in may because of blood clots, took his first laps of 2011 at Walt Disney World Speedway on Monday.
From Vickers’ Twitter:
Damn that felt good. Everything fits just like I left it.
Well, Red Bull Racing sure isn’t how Vickers’ left it. He’s still going to be in the No. 83 car next season, but he’s now joined — as we’ve mentioned many a time before — by Kasey Kahne in the No. 4 car. Plus Vickers’ car will be silver this season. Don’t go mistaking him for Scott Speed.
Here’s hoping that everything continues to go well for Vickers’ expected return at Speedweeks. His performance was one of the best storylines of 2009 and it will be interesting to see if he and the team can contend for a Chase spot in 2011.
