Tony Stewart is spending his New Year’s in Australia and from the looks of it, is having a lot of fun even though he didn’t win.
Joey Saldana passed Donny Schatz on the last lap to win a sprint car race at Tyrepower Sydney Speedway Friday night and Stewart finished third but doused Saldana in victory lane.
The three will also race Sunday and Monday in the Scott Darley Sprintcar Classic. The two-night race has 57 cars entered.
(and if you were wondering, unlike the toilets, they don’t race the opposite way in Australia.)
